• How do I access the registry? A. https://dss-homecare-worker-registry.powerappsportals.us/• I have multiple agency locations; can I have multiple logins/profiles? A. Each agency location can only have one login. Create a unique login for each agency location using a distinct email address for that location. Ensure the provider agency name includes both the name and location. Example: Home Care Company – Hartford, Home Care Company – Andover. • What type of home care agencies need to register? A. Each home health care agency, home health aide agency, and hospice agency, as defined in section 19a-490 of the general statutes and each homemaker-companion agency, as defined in section 20-670 of the general statutes. • Do skilled or licensed nurses need to register?A. No.• Are office workers employed at a home care agency required to be entered in the registry?A. No, only home care workers that provide in-home care.• Do all home care workers need to be on the registry or only those that work for agencies that accept Medicaid?A. All agency types listed above are required to register their employees, regardless of whether the agency accepts Medicaid or not.• How does a provider agency handle an employee that works for multiple agencies?A. The agency is required to register home care workers that are employed at their agency, unless that home care worker has requested an exemption.• How often do the trainings need to be repeated?A. The registry does not dictate how or when a provider offers trainings. It only displays trainings a home care work may have completed. For specific questions about a required training, please contact the entity requiring the training.• Can I enter in additional trainings that are not included in the drop-down menu?A. No, at this time the trainings are limited to those listed in the drop-down menu.• Should an agency include home care workers that are contracted employees?A. No, Public Act 24-39 does not address contracted employees.• What qualifies a home care worker to be exempted from the registry? A. Per statute, a home care provider can assert an exemption if that home care worker: (1) is a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault; (2) has a court-issued protective order, restraining order, standing criminal protective order, or foreign protective order; or (3) asserts that extraordinary personal circumstances require an exemption to protect your health, safety or welfare. • Do provider agencies need to send completed Home Care Worker Exemption Forms to the State of Connecticut?A. No, provider agencies must maintain the completed exemption form(s) in their records and are not to enter the worker(s) data in the registry if an exemption has been requested.• Where do I find help using the bulk upload form?A. Select the Help with Import button on the Add Multiple Home Care Worker(s) page or select Help on the top navigation bar on any page in the registry.• Who do I contact if I have additional questions after watching the Instructional Video and reviewing all of the guides and help documents on the site?A. The fastest and most efficient manner to receive assistance is to email HomecareRegistry@ct.gov.• How do I unregister or remove my agency and profile from the site?A. Email HomecareRegistry@ct.gov with your request to unregister/delete your account and include the email address used to register and the legal agency name.
